William has loved his school the past couple years and Findlay was very proud to start there as well last September.

William was so into his school’s walk-a-thon (an annual fundraiser) that we thought he’d love the Salmon Days run.  He took the walk-a-thon very seriously and ran and ran and ran…. He ran 31 laps (I wish I knew what that equalled in mileage) and won the “most laps run by a kindergartener” award.

We signed up William and Findlay for Issaquah’s Salmon Days kids’ fun run and Michael did the 10K.  I was in the thick of morning sickness and had stopped running by then. The kids’ event felt very chaotic with all the children participating and wound up not being very fun for them (I think they were both pretty overwhelmed).  Maybe next year…

This is the first (and only) dress I’ve knit, from last spring… I spent a lot of time working on it in the evenings when we were on our Italy/England trip last April and gave it to a friend who was having her third little girl in May.  I wish I took a photo or two of it with my regular camera.  The dress took a while… and I don’t think I have pulled out my needles since!
